Programming
Programming at the Women’s Center

The Women’s Center offers programs that create opportunities for connection, learning, support, and community across Wake Forest. From ongoing programs to monthly gatherings, these opportunities invite students to engage, build relationships, and explore issues related to women and gender.
Deacon Doulas
Deacon Doulas are trained, volunteer birth companions who provide continuous physical and emotional support to laboring patients at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Birth Center, at no cost to the patient. Deacon Doulas serve medicaid-insured, uninsured, and teen patients since these people are often unable to afford private doula care.
G-Chats
G-Chats are monthly opportunities to connect with faculty outside of the classroom in an informal way. Faculty leaders discuss how their research, scholarship, or teaching intersects with gender. Conversations are grounded in scholarly inquiry and led by faculty experts, but they are also spaces for anyone who wants to learn more about a topic, whether or not you are an expert.
Study Table
Join us in the Center every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. for food and academic support while you study!
Wake for Women
Come build community with other fans while cheering on the Deacons! Wake for Women is an opportunity for fans of women’s sports to connect and support our student-athletes.
