Lexine Appiah ’27

Hi, my name is Lexine! I am a senior here at Wake, and I am majoring in Statistics. I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado. During my free time, I like to read, play video games, and hang out with friends whenever I get the chance to.

At the Women’s Center, I enjoy helping anybody find whatever they need in the Center, whether that may be menstrual products, finding a snack, or just being there to listen or give support.  In the past, I have been involved with helping out at some of our events such as our “Study Tables”, co-hosting events for the Romance Book Club, and I had a lot of fun helping out with planning for our Drag Brunch.

Emma is a senior majoring in Politics and International Affairs and Anthropology! This is her third year at the Women’s center and she is very excited to be back! Outside of the Women’s Center Emma is the president of Wake Forest Irish Dance and a student designer for the Department of Theatre and Dance. She is also involved in a variety of other organizations across campus! Her favorite thing about the Women’s Center is the community and safe space it creates! She is passionate about Women’s health and looking forward to the programing this year!

Fun fact! She has competed in 5 different countries for dance!

Olivia Pinder ’27

Hi! I’m Olivia and I’m from Florida. I’m a pre-dental student who loves reading, cooking, and talking about health disparities and community wellness. I’m passionate about helping others and creating spaces where people feel supported and connected.

The Women’s Center has slowly but surely become my little sanctuary on campus. It’s a place where I can study, hang out with friends, and even sneak in a quick nap after hours(shh, don’t tell anyone lol). I’ve always felt welcomed and supported here which makes me even more excited to be part of the team now. I look forward to contributing to a community that cares so deeply about its students and works hard to make everyone feel at home.
