Collaboration with the Women’s Center
The Women’s Center collaborates with offices, departments, and organizations on Wake Forest’s campuses to operationalize our mission and serve our campus community. In deference to our feminist framework, we prioritize partnerships that are collaborative, reciprocal, and mindful about shared labor. Types of collaborations include but are not limited to:
Marketing & Promotion
Promoting events/initiatives through the Women’s Center weekly newsletter and/or social media.
Co-Sponsorship
Providing financial support or thought partnership on a program/event/initiative you are sponsoring and planning.
Tabling
Women’s Center presence at a program/event that you are hosting.
Program Partner
Collaboration on all aspects of an event or program (ie: we annually plan the Daring Deacons Drag Brunch in collaboration with the Office of Student Engagement).
Collaborative Initiative
Collaboration on all aspects of an ongoing initiative (i.e., the Women of Color Collective is a partnership between the WC and the University Counseling Center throughout the academic year).
Potential collaborators can reach out to any of the Women’s Center staff or our general email address (womenscenter@wfu.edu) to start a conversation about working together. Unfortunately, we cannot support programs/initiatives that are less than 2 weeks away. Our newsletter goes out weekly on Wednesday, any content that you would like for us to send out needs to be shared with Zobia Akhtar by 5pm on Mondays.
